The Next Big Gold Discovery

After a major gold discovery in British Columbia earlier this year, one Canadian mining company landed a massive multi-million dollar payout.

New Gold’s estimated 9.5 million ounce discovery caught the attention of other major players looking to scoop up promising projects.

And Artemis Gold ended up acquiring the property for an incredible $190 million in cash.

But the real story could be happening just 25 km away at Cyon Exploration’s Aspen Gold property.

With New Gold’s massive market cap over $1.8 billion, much of the upside has already been won there…

But there’s still plenty of promise for early investors of Cyon.

Because with a market cap of just $12 million, they’re just 1/150th the size of New Gold…

Which means that a cash influx similar to what Artemis Gold just shelled out would be a major catalyst for shares of Cyon’s stock to soar.

Now, with their Aspen Gold property being on strike with that 9.5 million ounce mega-discovery…

Many are wondering whether Cyon will be the next to announce a major discovery in this gold-rich region.

Plus, with another junior currently drilling directly next door, Cyon will have even more data on what they may find in the months ahead.

With this data and the close proximity to Artemis Gold’s major discovery…

This already makes Cyon a prime candidate for a major acquisition if they see the kinds of promising results they’re expecting in exploration.

But while this could easily become the story of the year in British Columbia…

Cyon’s most exciting project could be their Black Rock Canyon property in Nevada.

Fraser Institute has named Nevada one of the top mining regions in the world.

And the state has built a reputation around the world because of the major discoveries taking place there.

The Cortez Trend has been a huge reason for that, with over 50 million ounces of gold estimated to be buried under the surface.

Which is why many of the majors have been pouring resources hand over fist into the region.

For example, two of the world’s biggest mining companies joined forces to drill the gold-rich ground in Nevada last year.

Barrick and Newmont Goldcorp – worth combined market caps of nearly $100 billion – teamed up to mine the Nevada Gold Mines.

After producing more than 45 million ounces of gold on the properties, it’s now established itself as the largest gold-producing complex in the world.

But for the same reasons you saw earlier, the real upside could come from the juniors nearby like Cyon Exploration.

Because Cyon’s Black Rock Canyon property sits just 10 miles from Barrick’s massive discovery.

And the gold-rich deposits seem to head straight towards them.

Cyon’s property spans an enormous 3,894 acres with over 100 total claims.

And the results from 185 previous surface samples are nothing short of amazing.

Gold grades have ranged from 2.02 g/t Au to 109.7 g/t Au at their highs.

But while it’s still early in the game now, they’re racing ahead to complete exploration and drilling.

And they’re expected to make big news over the next couple of months.

Major Discovery by Year’s End?

CYON EXPLORATION (TSXV:CYON | OTC:CYNXF)

With the story at Black Rock unfolding quickly, Cyon is moving full steam ahead with their winter 2020 drill program.

Their geologists have already looked at initial data and are thrilled with what they’re seeing so far.

Next, they plan to complete an airborne magnetometry survey to discover how deep these deposits could run.

And with this data, combined with what they’ve seen from Barrick’s mammoth gold complex down the road…

They’re already building a clear picture of what could be hiding beneath the surface.

But to help key in on the perfect targets, they’ve brought on two other world-class geologists to consult at the Black Rock Canyon property.

Dr. Steven Weiss has been in the business for over 40 years, leading Glamis Gold’s exploration team in Mexico.

While leading their project at El Sauzal, their team produced over 1.7 million ounces of gold.

He stayed on board for Goldcorp in Mexico after they acquired Glamis Gold, and he built and led the team at the Camino Rojo gold-silver deposit.

This proved up an initial 1.6 million ounces of gold in reserves, and it more than doubled their gold resource from 3.4 million ounces to 7.5 million ounces.

With multiple million-ounce discoveries under his belt, Cyon will look to him to help guide their exploration at Black Rock.

Plus, they’ve brought on Tom Callicrate, another seasoned vet who’s spent 35 years as an exploration geologist.

And over that time, his main focus has been near Cyon’s project in Nevada.

He started his career with several majors like Freeport Exploration and FMC.

But after building a strong base of experience and field exploration skills, he broke out on his own.

He has held senior corporate roles in the past with startup juniors like Western Goldfield.

There, he was instrumental in their over 4 million ounce gold deposit discovery on their Mesquite property.

This later returned major gains when New Gold Inc. acquired the company.

With decades of experience on major discoveries around Nevada, now he’s joining up to consult with Cyon as well.

With these seasoned geologists on board along with their experienced team of experts at the helm, they’re eager to get started at Black Rock.

Cyon has already raised $2 million in September, all during a time where gold was starting to cool down from near all-time highs.

And that will be more than enough to fully fund their upcoming drill program, set to begin by December.

Based on the data they’ve seen so far, the Black Rock property is expected to show the low grade, high tonnage, deep deposits that mining companies around the world are trying to replicate…

The same “Barrick-style” deposits yielding millions of ounces of gold just down the road.

And because they’re already seeing plenty of geological similarities to Barrick’s world-class mine…

They’re planning to drill deep right from the start.

After surveying the property, they plan to set 3 massive drill hole locations at depths down from 8,000 feet to 11,0000 feet.

With these world-class geologists set to get started just down the road from the largest gold complex in the world, Cyon’s next discovery could make headlines before the end of the year…

And if they find the same “Barrick-style” deposits they’ve already seen nearby, it could send shares soaring or potentially set them up to become the next multi-million dollar acquisition.
