On Wednesday, ValueTheMarkets’ Ben Turney hosted Mike Houston, executive chairman at BlueRock Diamonds (LSE:BRD), in a recorded presentation and interview. Houston began by providing shareholders and potential investors with a detailed run-through BlueRock’s progress since he joined the company as part of a new management team in May last year.

Despite a tough macro backdrop, the revised strategy adopted by BlueRock’s new leadership has really paid off. The company delivered record production from its Kareevlei Diamond Mine in FY19, met all of its output milestones, and operating profitably for the first time in the second half of 2019.

Following an initial presentation, Houston fielded a number of questions from audience members. These spanned a wide variety of topics including the recent peaceful demonstration at Kareevlei, BlueRock’s cash position, and what sort of diamond production levels can be expected moving forward.
