In July 2026, Binance led crypto exchange traffic despite a 2.35% decline in total visits across platforms.

#How Did Binance Perform in July 2026?

In July 2026, Binance attracted 36.04 million website visits, capturing a substantial 26.8% share of the total crypto exchange traffic. This dominant position is noteworthy; however, a broader analysis reveals a concerning trend in the cryptocurrency sector, where total traffic among all tracked exchanges decreased by 2.35% month-over-month, landing at approximately 134.31 million visits compared to 137.54 million in June.

The statistics, sourced from Wu Blockchain and analyzed via SimilarWeb, depict an industry dynamic where a few platforms are distilling significant traffic while others compete for a diminishing audience.

#Who Are the Major Players?

Following Binance, OKX ranked second with 25.62 million visits, which accounts for 19.1% of the market share. Meanwhile, Coinbase secured third place with 20.60 million visits, amassing a 15.3% market share. Collectively, these top three exchanges represented 61.2% of all tracked crypto traffic.

Geographically, the user distribution reflects the uniqueness of each platform's strategy. Binance primarily engaged users from India, while OKX's significant traffic originated from Japan. Coinbase, in line with expectations, attracted most of its visitors from the United States.

Binance’s strong foothold in India is likely a factor in its remarkable growth, as it surpassed 323 million registered users around its ninth anniversary in July.

#What Happens to Exchanges Below the Top Tier?

Not every mid-tier exchange experienced declines in July. Bitfinex reported a traffic increase of 3.7%, followed by KuCoin’s 3.2% rise, and Bybit’s 2.8% gain.

Conversely, several exchanges witnessed severe traffic declines. Deribit faced a staggering 44.7% drop, indicating potential structural issues rather than a mere seasonal downturn. HTX's traffic slid by 23.0%, and Upbit observed a 16.0% decline.

#What Does the Traffic Decline Indicate?

The overall decline of 2.35% in July reflects a broader cooling trend in trading activities. Spot trading volumes across various exchanges decreased by 21.7% during this period, ultimately sinking to $429 billion.

When we consider the 134.31 million total visits against Binance’s reported user count, it becomes evident that only around 11% of its 323 million registered users engaged with the website in July. This statistic may highlight concerns regarding user activity levels amid a shifting market landscape.
