Binance launches stock trading for US-listed stocks and plans tokenized securities to enhance investment accessibility.

#What does Binance's new stock trading feature offer?

Binance has launched a trading feature for US stocks aimed at enhancing accessibility for eligible users. This initiative enables investors to trade over 7,000 US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) right from within the Binance ecosystem. The co-founders of Binance have emphasized a commitment to bridging the gap between typical investment products and blockchain finance, making the transition seamless for users.

This new service, powered by a regulated broker-dealer, Nest Trading Limited, allows users to engage in stock trading while enjoying a familiar interface. It represents a significant move towards reducing barriers between conventional financial markets and digital assets. Eligible users can trade stocks with no commissions, purchase fractional shares starting at just $5, and maintain direct ownership of their securities, which are secured through a U.S. regulated clearing broker. Users are also entitled to receive dividends and participate in corporate actions when applicable. Some stocks will support 24/5 trading, and transactions can primarily be funded using USDC along with other cryptocurrencies such as BNB and USDT.

#How are tokenized securities set to enhance trading?

In addition to traditional stock trading, Binance has announced plans to introduce tokenized securities, known as bStocks, for select US stocks and ETFs. These products, issued by BTECH Holdings Ltd, are currently pending regulatory approval and are expected to operate on the Binance Exchange. The tokenization of equities promises a modern trading experience, linking the traditional equity model to innovative tokenized assets that may offer users potential utility within the digital realm.

Richard Teng, co-CEO of Binance, discussed the transformational impact of tokenization, highlighting its ability to enhance flexibility, accessibility, and interoperability between traditional financial systems and modern digital finance. By integrating these modern trading capabilities, Binance is poised to redefine how investors interact with both traditional and innovative assets.
