FOX Corporation is making a significant investment in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup by ensuring all 104 matches are accessible on its streaming service, Fox One, in 4K resolution. This monumental event will occur from June 11 to July 19, 2026, marking a historic expansion of the tournament from 32 to 48 teams across venues in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

However, for FOX, this is more than just a prestigious sports occasion. The World Cup serves as a strategic move to enhance subscription revenue through Fox One, which was launched on August 21, 2025, at a subscription rate of $19.99 per month following a three-day free trial. The service integrates various content offerings, including news and entertainment, with the World Cup being a central draw aimed at boosting viewer engagement.

In terms of coverage, FOX's main network is set to air an impressive 70 matches, with 21 scheduled during prime-time hours. FS1 will contribute another 34 matches to the viewing experience. Yet, for those seeking the highest quality, Fox One will be the sole outlet providing every match in 4K, positioning it as the premier choice for viewers who prioritize visual excellence.

For viewers who may be price-sensitive, limited free 4K simulcasts of select matches will be offered through Tubi, which is Fox's free ad-supported streaming service.
