Gemini is concluding its NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway to concentrate on developing a comprehensive super app aimed at customers.

This digital art platform has transitioned to a withdrawal-only mode and will stop all operations on February 23. Customers holding USD, ETH, or NFTs will receive instructions via email on how to transfer their assets off the platform.

Nifty Gateway has been a significant player in the NFT landscape since its launch in 2020, featuring exclusive drops of digital art, music, and digital collectibles from renowned artists and brands, including Beeple and CryptoKitties.

The team expressed pride in the innovative strides made in digital art, acknowledging the contributions of customers and artists in a shared journey.

Gemini acquired Nifty Gateway in late 2019 to enter the NFT market. However, in early 2023, founders Duncan and Griffin Cock Foster left the company, coinciding with a noticeable decline in NFT trading volumes.

Despite the closure of Nifty Gateway, Gemini will maintain its support for NFTs through the Gemini Wallet, which debuted in August 2025, signaling a shift towards a more integrated digital asset management experience.
