#What is Soter Insure's latest funding achievement?
Soter Insure, an insurtech company based in Abu Dhabi and specializing in digital asset coverage, made a significant announcement on July 29. The company successfully closed the initial phase of its Series B funding round, marking an important milestone in its growth. This funding round is led by Galaxy Digital, a firm that has been a key partner since Soter’s Series A funding in February 2025.
In this funding round, Soter welcomed notable investors, including Coinbase Ventures and Franklin Templeton, alongside existing supporters such as Brevan Howard Digital. This diverse group of backers highlights the growing interest and confidence in the insurtech sector and Soter's unique market position.
#How is the Series B structured?
The Series B funding is organized in multiple stages, with an ambitious total capital target of $23.5 million in fiat currency. Additionally, it is expected to incorporate over 500 Bitcoin and more than 2,000 Ethereum tokens by its final closure. These digital assets are crucial for Soter's expansion plans.
Soter Insure intends to utilize the raised capital to improve its underwriting capabilities and to broaden its risk-assessment technologies. The company currently offers an extensive range of products, including coverage for asset loss, directors and officers (D&O) insurance, potential smart contract failures, and risks associated with validator slashing events.

#What sets Soter Insure apart in the industry?
Soter Insure is notable for launching the world’s first Ethereum-denominated slashing insurance back in March 2026, a project developed in collaboration with Galaxy Digital. This innovative product is designed to mitigate the risks associated with slashing, where proof-of-stake networks like Ethereum sanction validators for misconduct by seizing part of their staked tokens.
In July 2025, Soter further distinguished itself by partnering with Dubai Insurance P.S.C. and Deus X Capital, working together to create hybrid policies that encompass both Bitcoin and USD.
Importantly, Soter Insure maintains full regulatory licensing from the Dubai Financial Services Authority, reinforcing its commitment to compliance in a rapidly evolving industry.
With these strategic initiatives and partnerships, Soter is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for digital asset insurance, providing a necessary service in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
