OKX added KAITO token in Turkish Lira for seamless trading, enhancing access for local investors.

#What does the addition of KAITO to OKX mean for Turkish investors?

On August 10, OKX’s division that focuses on Turkey expanded its local fiat trading offerings by introducing the KAITO token. A new direct trading pair, KAITO/TRY, became available at noon local time, enhancing convenience for Turkish investors. An hour before the official launch, pre-open trading allowed early participants to place orders, facilitating smoother market entry.

#What is the purpose of KAITO?

KAITO functions as the native utility token of Kaito AI’s InfoFi network. This innovative platform leverages artificial intelligence to gauge and monetize attention flows across the Web3 environment. Beyond its primary role as a utility token, KAITO also grants holders governance rights, enabling them to vote on protocol decisions. Furthermore, it serves as a transaction medium within the network and unlocks participation in Kaito’s "attention economy." Using KAITO, holders can pay for services and earn rewards from content engagement metrics which the AI platform tracks.

With a circulating supply of approximately 241 million tokens out of a total cap of 1 billion, around 24% of KAITO tokens are presently available in the market. As of the listing date, KAITO traded between $0.46 and $0.56 on various platforms, equating to about 30 to 34 Turkish Lira per token in the TRY market.

#Why is Turkey a critical player in the expanding crypto landscape?

Starting operations in early 2024, OKX TR has tailored its platform to specifically meet the needs of Turkish users, offering fiat on-ramps and off-ramps in Turkish Lira. This enhancement benefits Turkish investors significantly by providing them with a direct trading pair, thereby minimizing transaction friction. Previously, to acquire KAITO, a user would need to engage in a two-step process: first purchasing USDT with lira and then trading the USDT for KAITO. Now, with the direct pair, this conversion occurs in a singular, simplified transaction.

#How does the InfoFi aspect of KAITO impact its market valuation?

The price range for KAITO, between $0.46 and $0.56, translates into a fully diluted market valuation estimated at around $460 million to $560 million based on its cap of 1 billion tokens. Its circulating market cap, considering the available 241 million tokens, positions it between $111 million and $135 million. As such, KAITO not only provides practical utility within its ecosystem but also presents investment potential for those engaged in the rapidly developing crypto market.
