Vlad Tenev's guide on transferring assets from Solana to Robinhood Chain opens new avenues for crypto investors.

#What should investors know about Vlad Tenev’s recent crypto guide?

Vlad Tenev, the CEO of Robinhood, recently shared a detailed guide on transferring assets from Solana to the newly launched Robinhood Chain. This move is particularly significant following the launch of the Robinhood Chain's public mainnet on July 1, 2026.

#How does the bridging process work?

The Robinhood Wallet has introduced a seamless way to bridge assets from Solana, Ethereum, and Arbitrum. Previously, moving assets required navigating multiple tabs and wallets. Now, users can complete the entire process within a single app interface. Tenev specifically demonstrated transferring USDC from Solana and receiving USDG—an internal stablecoin used on Robinhood Chain. The bridging occurs through a protocol called Across, facilitating this cross-chain transfer. On one side, you deposit funds in USDC on Solana, and on the other, you receive spendable USDG, which can be used for trading various tokenized equities.

#What is Robinhood Chain?

Robinhood Chain is identified as an Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 blockchain built upon the Arbitrum technology stack. It operates with a Chain ID of 4663 and defines a block time of 100 milliseconds, significantly faster than Ethereum’s primary chain that averages a block creation every 12 seconds. The mainnet launch was complemented by partnerships with prominent platforms such as Uniswap for decentralized trading and Chainlink for reliable price feeds.

#Why should retail investors consider this transition?

In 2023, Coinbase introduced its Layer 2 solution, Base, which has gained traction within the blockchain ecosystem. Similarly, Robinhood aims to position itself within the emerging group of exchange-backed Layer 2s, with a distinct emphasis on tokenized equities. By accepting assets from established networks like Solana, Ethereum, and Arbitrum, Robinhood allows users to try its new features without the need to leave their current ecosystems. Investors can easily transfer some USDC and explore what Robinhood Chain offers without fully committing to it.
