Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) reported revenue of $109.4 billion for its fiscal 2026 third quarter ended June 27, 2026, an increase of 16% from a year earlier and what the company described as its strongest June quarter ever.

Net income rose to $29.8 billion from $23.4 billion in the same period a year earlier. For the first nine months of fiscal 2026, the Cupertino, California company posted total net sales of $364.4 billion, up from $313.7 billion a year earlier.

#iPhone and Mac Sales Lead the Quarterly Revenue Gain

iPhone sales reached $54.3 billion, up from $44.6 billion in the same quarter last year, and remained Apple's largest source of revenue.

Mac revenue climbed to $10.4 billion from $8 billion a year earlier. Services revenue rose to $30.7 billion from $27.4 billion, a 12% increase.

iPad was the only product category to decline, with revenue falling to $6.2 billion from $6.6 billion. Wearables, Home and Accessories rose to $7.9 billion from $7.4 billion.

#Greater China and Every Region Report Double-Digit Growth

Greater China revenue rose to $18.8 billion from $15.4 billion, an increase of 22%. The Americas, Apple's largest region, grew to $45.8 billion from $41.2 billion, while Europe rose to $29.4 billion from $24 billion.

"Today, Apple is proud to report our strongest June quarter ever, with double-digit revenue growth across iPhone, Mac and Services, and in every geographic segment," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, in the earnings release. Cook said the company introduced an all-new Siri artificial intelligence assistant at its WWDC26 developer conference.

#Tariff Refunds Lift Margins and Earnings Per Share

Company gross margin was 50.1%, which Apple said included a favorable impact of approximately 2 percentage points from tariff refunds.

Diluted earnings per share was $2.02, up 29% year over year, and included a favorable impact of $0.11 from tariff refunds. The company said it set new June quarter records for both earnings per share and operating cash flow.

Apple's board declared a cash dividend of $0.27 per share, payable on August 13, 2026, to shareholders of record as of August 10, 2026.

#Research Spending Rises Ahead of Siri Rollout

Apple designs consumer hardware, software and services, and generates the majority of its revenue from the iPhone. Its Services segment, which spans the App Store, advertising and subscriptions, has become a larger share of total sales over time.

Research and development spending rose to $11.7 billion in the quarter from $8.9 billion a year earlier. The increase coincides with the company's plans to roll out the Siri AI assistant unveiled at WWDC26. Apple also said its installed base of active devices reached an all-time high across all major product categories and geographic segments.

Apple also provided guidance for the fiscal fourth quarter, forecasting revenue growth of 9% to 11% year over year. Management said the record installed base supports continued growth, though the roughly 2 percentage point tariff-refund benefit to gross margin is non-recurring, and the iPad slowdown, exposure to Greater China, and broader macroeconomic and regulatory conditions remain risks to the outlook.
