XCharge Europe and XCharge North America, subsidiaries of XCHG Limited (NASDAQ: XCH), have partnered with Electromin, the leading EV charging network in Saudi Arabia. The agreement aims to enhance the EV charging infrastructure within the Kingdom as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative. The initiative seeks to achieve 30% electric vehicle adoption in Riyadh by 2030, along with a target of net-zero emissions by 2060.
Under this collaboration, XCharge will supply its battery-integrated GridLink charging technology, which delivers nearly 200 kW of DC fast-charging power while requiring only 44 kW from the grid. The system can be scaled up to 430 kWh and is suitable for locations with limited grid capacity. Electromin will provide comprehensive installation, commissioning, and maintenance services throughout Saudi Arabia.
Electromin chose XCharge based on its decade-long experience in e-mobility and GridLink’s high-power charging capabilities with minimal grid input. The technology also enables solar energy utilization and features a built-in display screen for enhanced user engagement. Moreover, it incorporates advanced safety features to ensure reliable operation in extreme conditions.
The partnership marks a significant step towards sustainable mobility in the region, addressing infrastructure challenges critical for the expansion of electric vehicles.
