#How is Ripple Prime Expanding in Decentralized Finance?

Ripple has recently announced the integration of Hyperliquid within its institutional platform, Ripple Prime. This integration signifies a notable milestone as it is Ripple Prime's inaugural step into decentralized finance, following its strategic acquisition of Hidden Road for $1.25 billion.

With this new capability, institutional clients will now have the opportunity to tap into on-chain derivatives liquidity provided by Hyperliquid. This means that they can not only manage their DeFi exposure but also cross-margin these with various other asset classes available through Ripple Prime. These include digital assets, foreign exchange, fixed income instruments, OTC swaps, and cleared derivatives.

The move aligns with Ripple's ongoing efforts to integrate decentralized finance with conventional prime brokerage services. Ripple aims to enhance trading experiences, yield generation opportunities, and the range of digital assets available to its clients. The company's expansion into DeFi is expected to improve liquidity access and meet the evolving demands of institutional investors, who seek efficiency and innovation in their trading practices.

Clients benefit from streamlined access to Hyperliquid liquidity under a unified counterparty relationship. This centralized risk management allows for consolidated margin across portfolios, making it more straightforward for clients to navigate their investment strategies.

Hyperliquid is currently supporting XRP perpetual futures along with products tied to Bitcoin and Ethereum. Furthermore, the platform's HIP-3 feature is paving the way for the introduction of stock and commodity perpetuals, supported by a robust ecosystem of over 300 development teams working through HyperEVM.

Ripple Prime's move promises to reshape how institutional players engage with decentralized finance, positioning itself as a strong player in both traditional and innovative financial landscapes.
