OneMain Holdings Reports Strong Q3 2025 Earnings and Dividend

OneMain Holdings Inc (NYSE:OMF) reported third-quarter 2025 results, announcing a pretax income of $263 million and a net income of $199 million. This reflects an increase from the previous year’s figures of $207 million and $157 million, respectively. Earnings per diluted share rose to $1.67, up from $1.31 in the same quarter last year.

On the same day, the company declared a quarterly dividend of $1.05 per share, marking a 1% increase from the prior dividend. The dividend will be payable on November 14, 2025, to shareholders on record as of November 10, 2025.

During the quarter, OneMain repurchased about 540,000 shares for $32 million, and the Board approved a new $1 billion share repurchase program, set to expire on December 31, 2028.

OneMain's Consumer and Insurance Segment reported an adjusted pretax income of $303 million, significantly up from $202 million year-over-year. Adjusted net income rose to $227 million from $151 million in the prior-year quarter. Managed receivables reached $25.9 billion, a 6% increase from $24.3 billion a year prior. Consumer loan originations totaled $3.9 billion, up 5% from the previous year.

Total revenue for the quarter was $1.6 billion, a 9% increase compared to $1.5 billion the previous year. Interest income also rose by 9%, driven by growth in receivables. Operating expenses increased by 8% to $427 million, influenced by strategic investments and receivable growth.
