This week’s company earnings include Procter & Gamble (PG), Netflix (NFLX), Kinder Morgan (KMI), Numinus Wellness (OTCMKTS: NUMIF), and Engine Gaming & Media (GAME).

Earnings Preview: PG, NFLX, KMI, NUMIF, GAME

Banks and financial institutions continue reporting this week, including Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS), Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS), Truist Financial Corp. (NYSE: TFC), PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC), Discover Financial Services (NYSE: DFS), State Street Corp. (NYSE: STT), M&T Bank Corp. (NYSE: MTB), and many more.

Meanwhile, other well-known companies reporting earnings this week include Kimberly Clark Corp (NYSE: KMB), United Airlines Holdings, Inc., Schlumberger NV, PPG Industries, Inc., J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., Alcoa Corp., Concentrix Corp., Fastenal Co., Prologis, Inc., Prologis Property Mexico SA de CV, H.B. Fuller Co., Richelieu Hardware Ltd., Insteel Industries, Inc., Progress Software Corp., and Goodfood and Market Corp.

Here are some of the key earnings updates to look forward to this week:

Procter & Gamble Co. (NYSE: PG)

Procter & Gamble Co. (NYSE: PG) will webcast a discussion of its Q2 earnings results on January 19, 2023, beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET.

FactSet analyst estimates provide an EPS consensus of $1.58 and a sales consensus of $20.69bn.

The company recently declared a dividend of $0.9133 per share that will be paid out to shareholders on or after February 15, 2023. This will be given to shareholders who own stock as of January 20, 2023.

P&G has a long history of paying dividends, it has been doing so for 132 years and has been increasing the amount for 66 years in a row. This shows that P&G is committed to giving money back to its shareholders, many of whom depend on the steady income from their investment in P&G.

Over the past year, PG stock has traded between $122.18 and $165.35. Today it trades at around $150.88. So far this year, the Procter & Gamble stock price is down -0.46%, while the S&P 500 has risen 4.57% over the same period.

FactSet analysts have a consensus Overweight rating on PG stock with a target share price of $154.26. 

PG stock has a price-to-earnings ratio (P/E) of 26.15. Its price-to-book-value (P/BV) is 8.32. PG stock comes with a dividend yield of 2.42%.

At that time, the company will issue a brief advisory release via newswire containing a link to the fourth quarter 2022 financial results and a letter to shareholders on its website.

FactSet analyst estimates provide an EPS consensus of $10.26 and a sales consensus of $31.59bn.

Over the past year, NFLX stock has traded between $162.71 and $538.37. Today it trades at around $332.82. Year-to-date, the Netflix stock price is up 12.84%.

FactSet analysts have a consensus Overweight rating on NFLX stock with a target share price of $308.38.

NFLX stock has a forward P/E of 31.38 (currently 29.8), and its P/BV is 7.21. NFLX stock does not come with a dividend.

Kinder Morgan, Inc. (NYSE: KMI) will release its Q4 2022 earnings results on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, after the market close and will hold a live webcast and conference call. FactSet analyst estimates provide an EPS consensus of $1.15 and a sales consensus of $19.56bn. 

Over the past year, KMI stock has traded between $15.78 and $20.20. Today it trades at around $18.85. Year-to-date, the Kinder Morgan stock price is up 4.66%.

FactSet analysts have a consensus Hold rating on KMI stock with a target share price of $19.89.

KMI stock has a P/E of 17.06. Its P/BV is 1.38. KMI stock comes with a dividend yield of 5.89%.

What Does Kinder Morgan Do?

Numinus Wellness Inc. (OTCMKTS: NUMIF)

Numinus Wellness Inc. (OTCMKTS: NUMIF) (TSX: NUMI), a mental health care company advancing innovative treatments and safe, evidence-based psychedelic-assisted therapies, will release its financial results for the quarter ended November 30, 2022, after market close on Monday, January 16, 2023.

FactSet analyst estimates provide an EPS consensus of -$0.03 CAD and a sales consensus of $4.7m CAD.

Over the past year, NUMI stock has traded between $0.16 CAD and $0.74 CAD. Today it trades at around $0.22 CAD. Year-to-date, the Numinus Wellness stock price is flat.

Three FactSet analysts have a consensus Buy rating on NUMI stock with a target share price of $0.50 CAD.

FactSet analyst estimates provide an EPS consensus of $-0.27 and a sales consensus of $11m.

Over the past year, GAME stock has traded between $0.50 and $3.36. Today it trades at around $1.30. Year-to-date, the Engine Gaming and Media stock price is up 38.3%.

Two FactSet analysts have a consensus Buy rating on GAME stock with a target share price of $3.34.

What Does Engine Gaming & Media Do?

Engine Gaming and Media, Inc. offers live streaming data and analytics, influencer management, and programmatic advertising to support the video gaming industry, brand marketers, e-commerce companies, media publishers, and agencies.

The company has several subsidiaries, including Stream Hatchet, a global leader in gaming video distribution analytics; Sideqik, a social influencer marketing platform; and Frankly Media, a digital publishing platform. The company generates revenue through subscription fees, managed services, and programmatic advertising.
