Deeper drilling required
Home to some of the world’s most important gold mining districts, and one of Nevada’s most highly regarded gold mining strips, is the Cortez trend. To date, only shallow drilling has been completed on the Black Rock Canyon property, but the unique and interesting topography suggests that the Cortez gold trend dips to a deeper depth than expected. As such, the team believes drilling to over 1,100 feet is what’s required next.
Cyon’s Black Rock Canyon property is located 16km north and 22km northwest of Nevada Gold Mine’s Pipeline gold mine, and Goldrush & Fourmile gold deposits, respectively. Nevada Gold Mines is the single largest gold-producing complex in the world, so far producing over 45 million ounces. The Pipeline, Cortez and Goldrush-Fourmile deposits are portions of the 16km-wide Cortez gold trend.
2020 has been an exhilarating year for Cyon Exploration, and the excitement has barely begun. Historical drill results indicate significant gold anomalies are present at shallow depths, and indications are now persuading the team that deeper drilling may find similar geologic formations. The Black Rock Canyon property comprises around 3,894 acres, 169 lode claims totaling 620 acres, and 440 acres of fee minerals lease. Collectively, this is a decent pitch with all to play for!
