In the latest episode of our Value the Markets video series, Byron Coulthard, President, CEO and Director of Cyon Exploration (TSXV:CYON | OTC:CYNXF), talks to us about his company and the reasons shareholders should invest in this exciting start-up.

Why invest in Cyon Exploration?

Cyon Exploration is a new company, but it’s got two very exciting brownfield projects under management and shareholders could stand to make a pretty penny by investing early. Byron Coulthard, President, CEO and Director of Cyon Exploration, believes it is a very likely target for a future takeover, all going well with its drill plan. This could make it a real money-spinner for dedicated shareholders.

Two Exciting Brownfield Projects

Cyon Exploration is a North American gold and silver exploration company with high value assets in the prolific gold mining districts of Nevada and British Columbia. The projects are named Black Rock Canyon, in Nevada, and Big Rock Canyon, in Northern British Columbia, Canada. Both are on strike and on trend with two major gold producers (Barrick Gold Corp (NYSE: GOLD) and Artemis Gold (CVE: ARTG)) and are situated in two of the world’s most prolific gold mining regions.

Black Rock Canyon is located within the Cortez trend of the Battle Mountain Eureka belt, where Nevada Gold Mines (a joint venture between Barrick (61.5%) and Newmont (38.5%)) has found proven and probable reserves of 29.4 million ounces. Cyon’s Nevada project contains 71 placer claims and 159 lode claims, and its area covers 3894 acres.

The company’s short-term goal is to get the drill bit turning at Nevada as soon as possible, preferably before the year is out. It’s already in discussion with drill companies to get the best price possible and is waiting for state permits to be approved and in place. It then intends to get the British Columbia project rolling in the spring.

Investors should be excited about the fact that these locations are both on strike and on trend with two major mining giants. Black Rock Canyon is next to Nevada Gold Mines, and Big Rock Canyon is in the drill path of Artemis Gold.

Top Management Team Shareholders Believe In

Cyon Exploration is headed up by a strong team with an outstanding track record and dedicated shareholder following. Coulthard himself has over 36 years’ experience in the capital markets helping junior mining companies raise over $150m for their projects.

Their dedication to finding brownfield projects that are low risk with a very high return has stood them well in years gone by. Brownfield projects have already been scoped out, having been historically evaluated, unlike riskier greenfield projects. Cyon Exploration geologists have extensive experience and endured tremendous success working with some of precious metal mining’s biggest names, including Barrick, Newmont (NYSE: NEM) and Nevada Gold Mines. These geologists are experts at sourcing the perfect possible places to drill.
