Today, on the ValueTheMarkets podcast, we are joined by Paul Johnson, executive director of African Battery Metals (LSE:AAU). Having successfully refinanced in February this year, the board have already reviewed the company’s existing assets and acquired new interests. The firm is committed to continue developing the Kisinka copper-cobalt project in the DRC, and its cobalt-nickel project in Cameroon.

African Battery has also recently announced positive results from soil samples taken at their Haneti project in Tanzania.  Paul touches on this as well discussing the option the company has exercised with Katoro Gold to take a 25pc interest in Haneti as well as explaining why he feels ABM is ‘extremely well positioned’ for a recovery in the sector.
