Thursday saw gemstone mining exploration firm Shefa Gems (LSE:SEFA) announce the renewal of its prospecting licence over the Kishon Mid-Reach Zone 1 project in northern Israel for 12 months.
The licence – which is Shefa’s first – was granted for diamonds, gold, and precious stones over an area of 25.2 hectares. Critically, the renewal will allow the business to apply for a ‘certificate of discovery’ that will provide it with exclusive rights over a mining licence.
In the below video, non-executive director James Campbell explains why the renewal marks a ‘vital step’ towards commercialisation.
