Love Hemp Group (OTCMKTS: WRHLF) announced a praiseworthy partnership on Friday with mental health support service Togetherall.
The partnership is well chosen for Love Hemp, the leading CBD product supplier in the UK, given the company’s focus on promoting “everyday wellbeing”.
Love Hemp is Togetherall’s first consumer partner, with this “first of its kind” collaboration offering a powerful tool to help with mental health.
Togetherall is commissioned for use in UK and North American education systems, as well as by employers and organisations like the Armed Forces and the UK’s National Health Service (“NHS”).
After 14 years in operation, Togetherall has supported over 300,000 members with issues like anxiety and depression.
With this new partnership, any of Love Hemp’s purchasers and subscribers can sign up anonymously for Togetherall by registering through a unique URL. This grants users free and instant access to an online community, where people can support and guide each other.
Togetherall’s “team of trained mental health professionals” moderate the service and monitor user needs 24/7 from around the world.
Additionally, Togetherall users have access to various courses and resources. These can help in understanding and supporting different mental illnesses.
CBD and wellness
CBD, or Cannabidiol, comes from hemp. Hemp is a variety of Cannabis with less than 0.3% THC. Unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive and does not induce a ‘high’. In fact, Love Hemp’s CBD oils are 100% THC-free.
Instead, CBD interacts with receptors in person’s endocannabinoid system, receptors that regulate various essential function like appetite, sleep, digestion and mood. Love Hemp says CBD “helps these receptors to maintain a natural balance, which in turn supports mental health and body wellness”.
The firm’s products are not intended to treat any illness, but instead to “promote everyday health and wellbeing”. The company sells not only CBD oil, but also cosmetics and chocolates containing CBD as well.
Love Hemp’s shares are up 120% year-to-date, as CBD’s popularity continues to grow. The global cannabidiol market is set to hit an incredible size of $13.4 billion by 2028. This after expanding at a CAGR of 21% from 2021 to 2028.
Mental health
Chief executive Tony Calamita said mental health “has been quite close to home”for him. He described it as a “silent epidemic”.
He also pointed out the Covid-19 pandemic’s “profound effect on people’s mental wellbeing”, which he expects to continue “for years to come.”
The chief executive said Love Hemp picked Togetherall for its ability to offer anonymous support at any time, “bridging the gap for those who do not want to talk to friends or family, or seek professional help”.
